Hi and welcome!

My name is Candice and I am the founder of mumspace.net. I have one little girl, Charley, who is coming up on three and is such a character! I live with my husband, Richie, in Sydney, Australia.

I started mumspace because, as a mum, I just loved blogging - it gave me somewhere where I could just get it all out and a place to put all of Charley's pictures and achievements. But as a mum blogger there was a couple of things I struggled with. Firstly, no one was reading my blog. Secondly, it was a bit lonely blogging on my own! So I decided to build a place where I could meet friends - friends who were also mums, and who were also going through the same things that I went through and am going through. And so mumspace.net was born - a community of mums blogging and supporting each other through this thing called motherhood.

Over the last nine months or so, mumspace.net has grown from a blogging engine for mums to a place where mums can not only blog and share their lives on their mumspace, but also a place where they can meet and connect with other mums, create their own support groups complete with discussion forums, and have something that is pretty much their own, and not within the constraints of a networking site. I love the opportunities that it gives mums, and some of the things that I am seeing mums do with their mumspaces - things that I would have never imagined people would want to do!
